You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You may contact us at any time for this purpose, as well as with any further questions regarding privacy.

3. General notes and mandatory information
Privacy
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We shall handle your personal data in strict confidence and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data refers to data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Foolproof protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Information on the controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
FEST GmbH

Storage duration
Unless a more specific storage period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the processing of the data no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, the data will be deleted once these reasons no longer apply.

Note on the transfer of data to the USA
Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated into our website. When these tools are active, your personal data may be passed on to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country as defined in EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being able to take legal action against it. It therefore cannot be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent you have previously given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 (1) (E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH AN INSTANCE OF PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE PURPOSE OF ASSERTING, EXERCISING OR DEFENDING LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 21 (1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 21 (2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged violation. This right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
SSL / TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your URL bar.
When SSL / TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Information, deletion, and correction
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have, at any time and free of charge, the right to receive information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing and, where applicable, a right to have this data corrected or deleted. You may contact us at any time for this purpose, as well as with any further questions regarding personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer require your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a weighing of your interests against ours will need to be performed. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
Objection to advertising e-mails
The use of contact data published within the framework of the obligation to provide a legal notice for the delivery of advertising and information material not expressly requested is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our websites use cookies. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your end device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies fulfill various functions. Many cookies are a technical necessity, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the playback of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions that you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to analyze the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure that the provision of its services is free of technical errors and optimized. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the storage of the cookies in question is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); consent may be withdrawn at any time.
You can configure your browser such that you are informed about the storage of cookies and cookies are only allowed in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analytics purposes, we shall inform you separately about this within the scope of this privacy policy and, if necessary, request your consent.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us.
They contain:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of their website – for this purpose, the server log files need to be collected.
Inquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry. We do not disclose this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided that your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract, or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries sent to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) in cases where it was previously requested.
The data you send to us when contacting us for an inquiry will remain with us until you request us to delete it, withdraw your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular legal retention periods – remain unaffected.
5. Analytics tools and advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. For this purpose, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, dwell time, operating systems used, and the origin of the user. This data may be summarized by Google in a profile that is assigned to the respective user or their end device.
Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The use of this analytics tool is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to store cookies), the processing is based exclusively on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; this consent may be withdrawn at any time.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Details can be found here:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.
Browser plugin
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's privacy policy
: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Order processing
We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google and fully implement the stringent requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
About Demographics with Google Analytics
This website uses the "About Demographics" function of Google Analytics to be able to display suitable advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be generated that include statements concerning the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be linked to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as detailed under "Objection to data collection".
Google Analytics Ecommerce Tracking
This website uses the “Ecommerce Tracking" function of Google Analytics. With the help of Ecommerce Tracking, the website operator can analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors in order to improve its online marketing campaigns. This involves recording information such as orders placed, average order values, shipping costs and the time that elapses from viewing to purchasing a product. This data can be summarized by Google under a transaction ID, which is linked to the respective user or their device.
Storage duration
Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymized or deleted after 14 months. For details, please see the following link:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

Our social media presences
Data processing by social networks
We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The specific social networks we use can be found below.
Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can generally analyze your user behavior extensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presences triggers numerous processing operations relevant to data protection. In particular:
If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can link this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected under certain circumstances even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies that are stored on your end device or by recording your IP address.
With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, you can be shown interest-based advertising both inside and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising may be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.
Please also note that we cannot track all instances of processing on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For more details, please refer to the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective social media portals.
Legal basis
Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence possible on the internet. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which are to be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
Controller and assertion of rights
If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. In principle, you can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaints) both vis-à-vis us as well as vis-à-vis the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. vis-à-vis Facebook).
Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.
Storage duration
The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, you request us to delete it, withdraw your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular legal retention periods – remain unaffected.
We have no influence over the storage period of your data that is stored by the operators of social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).
